FAIRBANK – Darlene G. Heth, 72 years old of Fairbank entered her eternal rest on Saturday, Sept. 5, at her home in Fairbank. She was born Oct. 27, 1936, in Dunkerton, the daughter of Jerome A. Harn and Grace Elizabeth (O'Neel) Harn.
She was united in marriage to Robert Lee Wilkinson in April of 1955 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Independence.
She later married Wilfred "Bill" Heth on Feb. 10, 1979, in Independence. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2005. Darlene was a homemaker and lived most of her adult life in Fairbank where she raised her family. Heth is survived by five daughters: Dorothy Fowler (Vince Shekleton) of Fairbank; Rosemary Wilkinson of Fairbank; Donna (Clay) Pollock of Gulfport, MS; Ronda (Randy) Ives of Grinnell and Tricia (Mark) Bair of Grinnell; two sons: Robert Wilkinson of Fairbank and Raymond Wilkinson of Independence; 21 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two sisters: Ellen (Joe) Kremer of Jesup and Patricia Necker of Fairbank. In addition to her husband Bill, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Alphonsus and Robert Harn and one sister Betty Williamson.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fairbank, with Fr. Harry H. Koelker as celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
