ROWLEY - Delores I. Bearbower, 84, of rural Rowley, died on Friday, July 8, at her home following a sudden illness.
She was born on June 24, 1927, in Bremer County, the daughter of Albert and Lena (Foelske) Kuhlmann. She attended school in Bremer County. On June 19, 1952, she and Merle Albert Bearbower were married in Rochester, Minn. He preceded her in death in 1982. Mrs. Bearbower helped her husband on the farm, gardened, and cared for her family. Her only hobbies were work related. She enjoyed the company of cats and didn't believe anyone could have too many. She was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Independence.
Mrs. Bearbower is survived by one daughter, Beverly (Bruce) Anderson of Vinton, one son, Albert Bearbower of Rowley, four grandchildren, Kendra Bearbower, Matt Anderson, Holly (Mike) Ollinger, and Lisa (Eric) Marter, and two great grandchildren, Eli Ollinger and Addison Ollinger.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, and one daughter in infancy.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 12, at the White Funeral Home in Independence. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence.
