Obituary

INDEPENDENCE – Delores J. Armstrong, 84 years old, of Independence, died on Sunday, Jan. 27, at the Buchanan County Health Center Long Term Care in Independence. She was born on Nov. 26, 1928, in Urbana, the daughter of Lucius and Vera (Walton) Robison.
On June 22, 1947, she and Edwin Russell Armstrong were married in Hazleton.
Mrs. Armstrong is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ed; one son, Gary Armstrong of Evansdale; one daughter, Carol (John) Lappe of Brandon; two grandsons; three great granddaughters; two great great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Betty) Robison of Walker, and Dean (Linda) Robison of Dysart; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the First United Methodist Church in Independence, with Rev. Scott Meador officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Hazleton. Friends may call for visitation for an hour before services at the church in Independence.
