OELWEIN – Elizabeth A. "Lizz" Soper, 31, of Oelwein, died Saturday morning, Dec. 7, at Grandview Health Care Center in Oelwein.
Catholic Memorial Service: 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein with Deacon Jim Patera officiating. There will be no visitation. Inurnment: will be at a later date. Memorials may be sent to the family at 222 4th Avenue NW Oelwein, IA 50662.

Elizabeth Ann Soper was born Oct. 12, 1982, in Iowa City, the daughter of Donald and Christine (Ohl) Soper. She attended school in Oelwein, Waterloo and graduated from Greenwood Alternative High School in Waverly. Elizabeth also worked towards her accounting degree. She was married to Kyle Emery and from this union their daughter, Christa was born. They later divorced. On March 17, 2011, she was united in marriage to David Hermansen and they later divorced. Lizz enjoyed cooking, baking, quilting, crocheting, crafts, motorcycle riding, fishing, Clear Water Beach Florida, Rocky Mountains, figure eight racing and making sure her dad was never out of cookies. She was a good hearted person who was always willing to help those in need.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Christa Emery of Central City; her mother, Christine Ohl (Curtis Robbins) of Oelwein; her father, Donald (Fiancée, May Berry) Soper of Waterloo; two sisters, Melissa (Fiancé, John Womack) Robinson of Hiawatha and Tricia (Guy) Pariseau of Cedar Falls; maternal grandmother, Pat Ohl of Independence; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Orval and Merial Soper; maternal grandfather, Robert Ohl; nephew, Derick Robinson; and aunts and uncles.
