HANNIBAL, Mo. - Ginger Lee Strong, 74, of Hannibal, Mo., and formerly of Independence, Iowa, passed away at her home on Monday, March 6, 2017.
Ginger was born March 19, 1942, in Oelwein, the daughter of Boyd Arthur and May Agnes Tatro Strong. She worked several years as a supervisor at Geater Machining and Manufacturing in Independence. She enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, spending time with her friends and was a huge Green Bay Packers Fan.
She is survived by one sister, Dawn (Arthur) Jacobsen of Independence; one uncle, Jim (Char) Tatro of Oelwein; one aunt, Jenny Damon of Oelwein; two nephews: Boyd Strong of Cedar Rapids and Kenny Jacobsen of Independence; and a niece, Lori Smith of Independence.
Ginger was preceded in death by a special friend, Marilyn Pippenger; her parents; two brothers: Butch Strong and Doyce Strong; one sister, Sandy Clark; one nephew, Bryon Strong; and several aunts and uncles.
Arrangements for cremation are under the direction of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home, Hannibal. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Independence.
