Obituary

WINTHROP – Idell James was born Feb. 2, 1923 at Dyersville the daughter of William and Elizabeth Kruser Eike.
Idell was united in marriage to Ted L. James on Jan. 13, 1943 in St. Luke's Catholic Church at Hopkinton. To this union were born three children: Karen, Jim, and Gary.
Idell entered into her eternal rest on Saturday, Oct. 6 at the Buchanan County Health Center in Independence at the age of 89.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Cletus Eike, one sister Willetta Eike White, one granddaughter Stacy James, and one great grandson Talen Youngblut.
Survivors include her husband Ted of Winthrop; her daughter: Karen (Jim) Dickinson of Keota; two sons: Jim (Janet) James of Winthrop and Gary (Sandy) James of Wellsburg.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9 in St. Patrick's Catholic Church at Winthrop with Father Donald J. Plamondon officiating. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery at Winthrop. Visitation was 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and until 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fawcett Funeral Home in Winthrop where a scripture service was held at 7 p.m. Monday.
