Ingrid M. (Steen) Clark (1919 - 2013)


INDEPENDENCE – Ingrid M. Clark, 93, of Shell Rock and formerly of Independence, died Monday morning, Jan. 7 at the Shell Rock Health Care Center in Shell Rock.
Ingrid was born on May 16, 1919 near Elkader, the daughter of Jacob M. and Mahala C. (Knuth) Steen. On June 1, 1938 she was united into marriage to Marvin L. Clark in Oelwein. Her husband Marvin died in 1972.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon (Richard) Dix, Janesville, and two sisters; Marilyn Berns, Garnavillo, and Betty DeCook, Guttenberg
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marvin, a son, and two brothers, LeRoy and BaLoyd Steen.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11 at the Hope Wesleyan Church, Independence with Rev. Bob Solon officiating. Burial was in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Hazleton. Friends called from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence and from 9 a.m. till services Friday at the church.
