Kansas City, Mo. - Kevin E. Werger, 56, of Kansas City, Mo. died at his residence in Kansas City on Friday, June 12. He was born on Jan. 11, 1953, in McGregor, the son of Duane and Janice (Woodard) Werger. He was raised and educated in Iowa, graduating from Independence High School in 1971. After high school, he lived in Waterloo and worked at John Deere. He had been employed and living in Kansas City the past twenty-five years.
Survivors include his father: Duane Werger of Manchester; four siblings: Katherine (John) Hintz of Oelwein, Wendy (Scott) Broshar of Chelsea, Mich., William (Tamera) Werger of Manchester, and Phillip Werger of Woodword; a special friend, Taina Martin of Kansas City and her two children; and several nieces and nephews.
Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Werger in 2000.

Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 17 at First Lutheran Church in Manchester. Officiating will be Dr. Rev. Jean Rabary. Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16 at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home & Crematory and after 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
Inurnment will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Garnavillo.
Music will be by Judy Dunn, organist.
