Obituary

INDEPENDENCE – Larry Dean Schwennen was born September 9, 1949 in Charles City, Iowa son of Jacob (Jake) and Kathleen Francis (Kruger) Schwennen. Larry entered eternal rest at the age of 59 years, on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at his home.
Larry is survived by his wife Beth, of Independence; two daughters: Melissa (Dean) Larson of Clarion, and Julie (Darrel) Canfield of Aurora; six grandchildren: one great-grandson; one brother, Jerry (Janice) Schwennen of Jesup; three sisters, Kas (Joe) Kelly of Muscatine; Shyann (James) Bohling, and Shelly (Larry, II) Garbes both of Jesup, and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and tons and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Jacob Schwennen, in 1976 and one brother, Danny in 1977.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. – Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup. Burial will be at the Otterville Cemetery, with military rites conducted by Pump-Scheer American Legion Post 342 of Jesup.
