INDEPENDENCE– Larry W. Nabholz, 63, of Oelwein, and formerly of Waterloo and Independence, died Thursday evening, Dec. 12, 2013 at the Grandview Care Center in Oelwein.
Larry was born on March 29, 1950, in Independence the son of Homer L. and Glenda P. (Melka) Nabholz.
He was a 1968 graduate of the Independence High School and NIACC Community College in Mason City. Following his education Larry farmed with his parents and on his own prior to becoming employed with Rydell Chevrolet in Waterloo, then as a custodian with the Waterloo Building.
He is survived by a sister; Carol (Robert) Fisher, Independence, and a brother; Jay (Jennifer) Nabholz, Brandon, one niece, two nephews, and three great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory in Independence with Rev. John Hougen officiating. Burial will be in the Wilson Cemetery, Independence. Friends called for visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. till time of services at the funeral home.
