INDEPENDENCE - Lawrence W. Kuper, 43, of Baltimore, Md., and formerly of Independence, died Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Buchanan County Health Center, Independence.
Lawrence was born on April 9, 1968, in Great Lakes, Ill., the son of John A. and Virginia A. (Wilson) Kuper. He was a 1987 graduate of the Independence High School and received a B.A. in Architectural Design from the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio. He served for seven years in the U.S. Air Force and upon his discharge he became employed with the SHW Group in Baltimore, Md.
He is survived by his parents John and Virginia Kuper, Independence, two brothers; Morgan Kuper, Jesup, Richard (Jennifer) Kuper, Colorado Springs, Colo., and three sisters; Melinda (Dennis) Hunter, Brandon, Joni (Jason) Jackson, and Janet Kuper all of Independence, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20 at the Hope Wesleyan Church, Independence. Inurnment will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Independence.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19 at the Reiff Funeral Home and Crematory, Independence, and from 9 a.m. until services Thursday at the church.
