FAIRBANK - Madeline M. Kerns, 84, of Fairbank, died Thursday, Feb. 25 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo of congestive heart failure.
Kerns was preceded in death by her husband, John; a son, John; her son-in-law, Bruce Bockhlot, a grandson-in-law; two great-grandchildren and one brother, Harold Buzynski.
She is survived by five daughter: Kay (Bob) Frame and Connie (Jack) Rechkemmer of Fairbank, Jane (Mike) Heineman of Readlyn, Julie ()Scott) Ceaglske of Cedar Falls and Carolyn (Paul) Lingard of Macon, Mo.; three sons: Gary (Carol) Kerns, of Pocahontas, Ark., Bob (Kathy) Kerns of Jacksonville, Fla. and Craig (Laddie) Kerns of Fairbank; 23 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Loras Buzynski of Oelwein and John (Eleanor) Buzynski of Fairbank and a sister-in-law, Shirley Buzynski of Fairbank.
Kerns was born May 11, 1925 in Fairbank to Adam A. Buzynski and the former Cecilia Elizabeth Weber and was married Aug. 24, 1945 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fairbank.
