Obituary

JESUP – Marlin Eldis Ewalt, 82 years old, of Jesup, died Thursday, Oct. 17, at the Buchanan County Health Center, Long Term Care, of natural causes. Marlin was born Oct. 31, 1930, in Linn County the son of Wilbur Mack Ewalt and Iva Leone (Newman) Ewalt. He graduated from Jesup High School with the class of 1948. On April 20, 1950, he and Joan Gayle Fuller were united in marriage at the First Presbyterian Church in Jesup.
He served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict with the 82nd Airborne Division, as a paratrooper.
Marlin is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joan of Jesup; two sons; one daughter; and one sister. His parents, three brothers, and one sister, preceded him in death.
Services were 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 21, at White Funeral Home, Jesup, with Rev. Kathleen Sheets officiating.
