Obituary

WATERLOO – Mary E. Stoner, 84 years old, of Waterloo, Iowa, died on Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Waterloo. She was born on April 7, 1931, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Fred Arthur and Clara Louise (Hagen) Burr. On December 22, 1990, she and Dwight Clea Stoner were married in Waterloo. Mrs. Stoner is survived by her husband, Dwight; three brothers: Fred Burr, Jr. of California, Ronald (Judy) Burr of Denver, Iowa, and Donald (Angie) Burr of Tripoli, Iowa; and four sisters: Donna Nettles of Louisiana, June (Larry) Powers of Dysart, Iowa, Wanda (Fred) Sowell of Wichita, Kansas, and Bonnie (Stan) Bauer of Cedar Falls, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James Burr; and two sisters: Sharon Danker, and Betty Halloway.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at the White Funeral Home in Independence, Iowa, with Pastor Jim Bauer officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence. Friends may call for visitation from 4 until 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 29, at the White Funeral Home in Independence.
