Obituary

INDEPENDENCE – Pamela Rae Black, 68, of Independence, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the Buchanan County Health Center, Independence.
Pam was born on Nov. 22, 1948, in Independence, the daughter of Alva H. and Martha I. (Cornwell) Long. She was married to Ronald G. Black on Jan. 4, 1969. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ronald G. Black: three children: Randy (Karla) Long, Derby, Kans., R. Todd (Michele) Black, Cedar Rapids, and Lisa (Rick) Wendling, Independence; six grandchildren; and a sister, Judy (Jerry) Lauer, Independence.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Independence with Rev. Greg DeBoer officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory in Independence, and from 9 a.m. till services Monday at the Church.
