Obituary

INDEPENDENCE– Raymond C. Luck, 78, of Independence died Saturday morning, Nov. 10 at the ABCM Rehab Center's West Campus in Independence.
Raymond was born on March 16, 1934, in New Hartford the son of Ernest and Evelyn (Jepperson) Luck.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Following his discharge he returned to Iowa and married Judy M. Shonka on July 25, 1969 in Sioux Falls, S. D.
He is survived by his wife; Judy M. Luck, Independence, four children; Robin (Dave) Brainerd, Luana, Kevin VanLaningham, Independence, Kris VanLaningham, Quasqueton, and Karmalyn VanLaningham, Independence, and four sisters; Barbara Gott, Hemit, Calif, Clara Duecker, Lisbon, Emma DeVries, Greene, and Lauragene Catherwood, Waterloo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Harry and William Luck, and a sister; Nina Carlin.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence, with burial in the Wilson Cemetery, Independence. Visitation was from 9 a.m. till services Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
