INDEPENDENCE - Sharon R. Danehy, 70, of Independence, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, at the Buchanan County Health Care Center in Independence.
Sharon was born on Aug. 9, 1941 in Vinton, the daughter of Howard T. and Edith F. (Miller) Nutt. She attended the Rowley Schools, Rowley, and was married to William P. Danehy Sr. on Aug. 16, 1960. The couple made their home in Independence, where Sharon work as a housekeeper for the elderly in the Independence area.
She is survived by her husband William Danehy, Sr., four children; William (Carol) Danehy, Jr., Muscaday, Wis., Deanna (Ed) Danehy-Hyke, Independence, Suzette Danehy, Hazleton, Melinda (Kim) Tielebein, Hazleton, 10 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, four sisters; Judy Lindsey, Vinton, Linda Barnett, Richland Center, Wis., Marilyn Wade, Jackson, Miss., Susan Boies, Muscaday, Wis., and a brother; John Boies, Richland Center, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a granddaughter, Brittany Mae Danehy.
Memorial services were Friday, Sept. 30, at the Reiff Funeral Home and Crematory, Independence. Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Wilson Cemetery, Independence.
