Shirley A. Turner, 79, passed away Saturday at Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center, Cedar Falls, from natural causes.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Waterloo. Private family burial will be held prior the service at Fairview Cemetery.

Shirley A. Stolfus was born May 13, 1931, in Oelwein, the daughter of Herman and Anna (Rohrick) Stolfus. She married Jay T. Turner on Sept. 2, 1947 in Quasqueton. He preceded her in death in 1988. Shirley was a singer in a band with her husband. Before Jay's death, he and Shirley were members at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo. She enjoyed dancing and she was an artist.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jay, a daughter and four brothers, Jack Stolfus, Merlin Stolfus, Walter Stolfus and Herbert Stolfus.
Shirley is survived by three sons, Jerry Turner of Independence, James (Sherry) Turner of Waterloo, and Edward Turner of Waterloo; three daughters, Roxie (Don) Jacobsen of Oelwein, Lana (Robert) Bellmer of Oelwein and Frances (Darrell) Newsom of Waterloo; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
