WATERLOO – Wanda Rean McGraw, 101, of Bagley, Minn. and formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the Cornerstone Nursing and Rehab Center in Bagley, Minn.
She was born March 22, 1910 in Independence the daughter of Lloyd and Rose "Rene" Irena Miller Harkness. She graduated from Cedar Falls High School. She worked in the Registrar's Office at Iowa State Teachers College (UNI).
She married Paul F. McGraw on May 1, 1943 in Minneapolis, Minn. They moved to Waterloo in November of 1945. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2003. Wanda moved to Bagley, Minn. in January 2009. She was the oldest living member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Waterloo.
Wanda enjoyed, knitting, needlework, and reading. As a senior, she took up bowling and at one time had been on two senior bowling teams.
Wanda is survived by one daughter, Vicki (Lee) Magnuson of Bagley, Minn; one sister, Renable Trainor of Evansdale.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Thelma Roberts, Lois Shepard; two brothers, K.B. and G.T. Harkness, Jr.
Services were 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation was at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time Friday.
