OELWEIN – Wayne Lee Clark, 62, of Oelwein, Iowa and formerly of Quasqueton, Iowa died Thursday evening, April 7, 2016 at his home in Oelwein.
Wayne was born on July 31, 1953 in Waterloo, Iowa the son of Raymond M. and Dorothy S (Wade) Clark. He attended the John Loecke School in Independence, Iowa, and River Hills School in Waterloo, Iowa. Following his education Wayne moved to Oelwein, and became employed with Goodwill Industries.
He enjoyed Bowling, NASCAR Racing, participating in the Special Olympics. He was the Iowa State Flag Bearer during the International Special Olympics in Minneapolis, Minn.
Wayne is survived by three brothers; Robert (Donna) Clark and Arthur (Shirley) Clark of Quasqueton, John (Patti) Clark, Oelwein; a sister, Denise (Tom) Burke, Independence; and Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence, with Rev. Kevin Jennings officiating. Burial will be held in the Quasqueton Cemetery, Quasqueton. Friends may call from 11 a.m. till services Saturday at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the Quality Choices, Mercy Hospital, Oelwein, Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, and the Palmer Hospice for the kind, compassionate care given to Wayne.
