ADA (SMITH) RUBMAN - BURLINGTON - Ada (Smith) Rubman passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014, in Starr Farm Nursing Home, at the age of 101. She was born on April 21, 1913, in Boston, Mass. Ada was the youngest child of Sarah and Isaac Smith, and was predeceased by her parents and eight siblings. She was also widowed by her husband, Haskell Rubman, whom she married on Sept. 17, 1938. Ada is survived by her two children, Myra Kaplan and husband, Herbert, of Randolph, Mass., and Jeffrey Rubman and wife, Carol, of Burlington; six grandchildren, Sheryl (Scott) Sigrist, Lynda (David) Gillin, Amy (Justin) Siegel, Bradd (Tracy) Rubman, Gary (Lissa) Rubman, and Andrew (Megan) Rubman; and 12 great-grandchildren, Nicole Sigrist, Ashley and Alyssa Gillin, Joshua Siegel, Thomas, Jordan, Samuel, Jacob, Noah, Isaac, Evan, and Sophie Rubman. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Starr Farm Nursing Home and Dr. Chris Hebert for their compassionate care. A graveside service will be held at Sharon Memorial Park, 120 Canton St., Sharon, Mass., on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at 12:45 p.m. Shiva will be held at the home of Sheryl and Scott Sigrist, following the service until 8 p.m.; and also at the home of Jeff and Carol Rubman on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, from 6 to 9 p.m. Arrangements are by Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Directors.
