BARTHOLOMEW "BART" CHAMBERLAIN - ST. ALBANS - Bartholomew "Bart" Chamberlain, a longtime area resident, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 5, 2013, in the Franklin County Rehab Center with his loving family at his side. Born in Burlington on April 30, 1942, Bart was the son of the late Fred James and Elizabeth (Bleau) Chamberlain. Bart was 71 years old. Bart was a 1959 graduate of Burlington High School, and then enlisted in the Air Force where he proudly served for four years. On March 6, 1965, he married the love of his life, Barbara Ryan. He began his career as an electrician, retiring in 1994 from I.B.E.W. Local 300. He worked for Sherwin Electric Company with the union when he retired. He was an avid coin collector, enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes, reading, and a good game of pinochle. Survivors include his daughter, Valerie Eldred and husband, Richard, of St. Albans; daughter, Michelle Chamberlain of New Hampshire; son, Bart and companion, Debbie Davis, of St. Albans; grandchildren, Jennifer and Scott Theoret, Tiana Benway, Gregory and Christopher Chamberlain, Denielle May, Hadley and Abe Chamberlain, and Shawn and Kylee Eldred; and great-grandson, Daniel Theoret. Bart is also survived by siblings, Fred Chamberlain and wife, Priscilla, of Pennsylvania; Roger Chamberlain and wife, Lois, of Vermont; Estelle McClellan of Vermont; Robert Chamberlain and wife, Pat, of Vermont; several aunts and uncles; many nieces and nephews; and family friend, Sonya Robtoy. In addition to his parents, Bart was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, and their son, Russell, on Aug. 10, 1976; and brother-in-law, Doug McClellan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 So. Main St., St. Albans. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Heald Funeral Chapel, with the Reverend Mr. Daniel Pudvah, Deacon at St. Monica Parish in Barre, officiating.
