DEFOREST DEAN "D.D." PAQUETTE - ST. ALBANS - On Sept. 26, 2012, Deforest Dean "D.D." Paquette, 74, was called to the greatest hunting ground ever. D.D. passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side. He was born on March 14, 1938, the son of Edmund "Jack" and Winona Pearl (Picard) Paquette. D.D. graduated from B.F.A. St. Albans in 1957, and on Oct. 6, 1957, married the love of his life, Florence M. Hilliker. D.D. was an avid outdoorsman, who lived to hunt and fish. He took great pride in his marksmanship and sportsmanship. He proudly and lovingly passed his skills on to his children and especially his grandchildren. D.D. was most happy when pursuing his passion of the outdoors, and sharing his sporting achievements. He took great joy in the sporting triumphs of his children, grandchildren and friends. He was a knowledgeable gun enthusiast and Skeet shooter, who won many awards and titles. For many years, D.D. and Flo both enjoyed their dinner outings and weekly card games with a very special group of friends. He loved to laugh, have fun and made sure to include everyone in his joy. D.D. will be sorely missed by his many friends and loving family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Catholic Church on Lake Street. Interment will follow in the St. Albans Bay Cemetery.
