EDGAR JOSEPH ROYER - SWANTON - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edgar Joseph "Ed" Royer. On May 19, 1951, he married Jeanne Brouillette who survives him. Ed is also survived by his four children, Carmen (Kendrick) Riggs of Louisville, Ky., Dr. James Royer of Portsmouth, R.I., Paula Royer of Louisville, Ky., and Judy Smith of St. Albans; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Wesley) Tucker, Andrea (Alex) Dulude, Bridget and Philip Royer, Dylan and Katherine Riggs, Bryan (Emilie) Smith, and Hilary Smith; five great-grandchildren, Morgan and Dharma Dulude, Hannah and Violet Hisman, and Marilynn Jeanne Tucker, just born Aug. 13, 2013. Ed is also survived by one brother, Ernest (Christine) Royer of Barefoot Bay, Fla.; and three sisters, Marielle Shepard of Irasburg, Cecile Albiser, and Georgette Willkins of St. Johnsbury. He was predeceased by his sister, Gilberta Royer. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, sisters- and brothers-in-law. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 So. Main St., St. Albans. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 246 Lake St., St. Albans.
