FRANCES Q. MANLEY SOUTH BURLINGTON - Frances Q. Manley, 84, of Burlington, died on Sunday, June 7, 2009, in Starr Farm Nursing home after a brief illness. She was born MarieFrancoise Ilda Quenneville in Montreal, Canada, on Aug. 6, 1924, to the late Philias and Rose (Benson) Quenneville. She came to Vermont in 1925, at the age of six months and attended school in Bridport and Burlington College. She was married to Howard Manley on Jan. 28, 1947. He predeceased her on May 20, 1996. She was predeceased by a sister Evelyn Orvis; three half sisters, Laurette Bourgon, Antoinette Letourneau and Aline Mayer; two half brothers, Aldeo Quenneville and Roland Quenneville. She was a communicant of St. John Vianney Church in South Burlington. She also greatly enjoyed going to exercise classes and line dancing classes at the local Senior Center. She is survived by one brother Richard Quenneville of Panton and a brother-inlaw Dickerman Orvis of Hinesburg. She is survived by her daughters and sonsin-law, Sherlyn and Paul Allard of Milton, Eileen and Lonny LaBonte of Nashua, N.H.; two sons, Neil Manley of South Burlington and Craig Manley and his partner Melody Alarie of Burlington. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Patrick and Anthony Allard, and Cara and Lise LaBonte; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, June 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Ready Funeral Home North Chapel, 934 North Ave., Burlington. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. John Vianney Church, South Burlington, with burial to follow in Resurrection Park Cemetery.
