JAMES A. "JIMMY" WILBER WINOOSKI - James A. "Jimmy" Wilber, 68, a longtime resident of Winooski, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, in Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. James was born in Colchester on April 25, 1944, the son of Milton and Bertha Lucille (Poirier) Wilber. He was married at the Chapel of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Burlington on Aug. 1, 1964, to Carlene Jean (Whitehouse) Wilber. James was employed for nearly 40 years at Acme Paint & Glass. He was a member of the V.F.W., John Ryan Post 1767, Fraternal Order of Eagles 4218, and Loyal Order of Moose, and enjoyed reading newspapers and NASCAR. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carlene Wilber; three children, Jane Marie Badger, Jennifer Robin Andersen and her husband, Edward, and Robert James Wilber; grandchildren, Christopher Badger, Dylan Gardner, Ashley Marie Andersen, and Brianna Irene Andersen; brothers and sister, Richard Wilber and his wife, Grace, Nancy Millette and her husband, John, and Thomas Wilber; and extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; and brother, Robert Wilber. Jimmy's family wish to offer their sincere gratitude to the entire staff at McClure 4 at FAHC for their care and kindness. Visiting hours will be on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, with funeral services beginning at noon, at the LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 132 Main St. in Winooski.
