JORDAN D. PREAVY - MILTON - Jordan Daly Preavy, 17, of Hunting Ridge Lane in Milton, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012. He was born on Aug. 8, 1995, in Burlington, the son of Tracy (Maciora) Stopford and Sean and Karen Preavy. Jordan was entering his senior year at Milton High School. Jordan worked for his grandfather at RP Welding, and was very accomplished at it. He had many athletic accomplishments in hockey, football, baseball and his favorite, lacrosse, in which he was an All Star goalie. His other interests were being an avid hunter and part of the Border Patrol Explorer Post 585. Jordan was an amazing young man with a compassionate heart and intense loyalty to his family and friends. His fun sense of humor was extremely contagious and most of all, he was the best brother to his three sisters and younger brother. Along with his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Sierra Thompson, Samantha and Taylor Paquette; and his younger brother, Henry Stopford. Jordan was very fortunate to have several loving grandparents including, Ronnie and Diana Preavy, Phyllis and David Parent, Robert and Denise Maciora, and Louie and Sue Cooper. He also had many aunts, uncles and cousins that he loved and cherished very much. He had an enormous circle of friends including his best friend of many years, Matt Potter. He was predeceased by aunts, uncles and grandparents on both sides of his family. Jordan's time with us was cut short and he will be truly missed, but never forgotten and always remembered in our hearts. We love you Jordan! A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Essex Junction, with interment to follow at Holy Family Cemetery in Essex.
