JOSEPH ALLAN BLAIR

JOSEPH ALLAN BLAIR JERICHO - Joseph Allan Blair, 60, of Jericho, passed away at home on Nov. 24, 2012, after a brief fight with cancer. Born Sept. 26, 1952, in Colchester to Clyde and Catherine Blair, he was raised in Essex Junction and Jericho, graduating from Essex Junction High School in 1970. Joe worked for the University of Vermont for over 30 years, where he enjoyed the people he worked with and where he spread his humor and wit around the campus. Joe loved to golf as often as he could and to root for his New York Giants and New York Yankees in the comfort of his own home. Joe is survived by his son, Eric, of Bozeman, Mont.; son, Kyle, of Winooski; ex-wife, Linda, of Burlington; sisters, Betty Mills and Carol Bennett, both of Burlington; brother, Norman Blair and his wife, Linda, of Florida; as well as nieces, nephews and other very important people in his life. He was predeceased by his sister, Linda. Thank you to everyone that has helped to support our family over the past few months. It would have been much harder without all of you there, near and far. Special thanks to Dr. Nunnick and Shelly and the rest of the staff at VCCM, Mel from the VNA, as well as the staff at FAHC. There will be a memorial service at the Ira Allen Chapel on the UVM Campus at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012.
