SISTER JULIENNE SAUVAGEAU S.P.

SISTER JULIENNE SAUVAGEAU, S.P. - WINOOSKI - Sister Julienne Sauvageau, S.P., 92, died on Friday, May 3, 2013, in Our Lady of Providence in Winooski, after a short illness. Julienne was born in St. Casimir, P.Q., Canada, on Nov. 4, 1920, the daughter of Anthime and Derilda (Lachance) Sauvageau. Sr. Julienne, as a Sister of Providence, devoted her life to caring for children and various community services. She is survived by her sisters, Sr. Madeleine Sauvageau, S.P. of Montreal, Quebec, and Therese Sauvageau of St. Michel, Quebec; brother, Benoit Sauvageau of St. Casimir, Quebec; and extended family and friends. Visiting hours will be on Monday, May 6, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Our Lady of Providence Chapel on West Spring Street in Winooski. A prayer service will be held at the convent at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Our Lady of Providence Chapel. Interment will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Arrangements are with the LaVigne Funeral Home, 132 Main St. in Winooski. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Winooski Family Center, 87 Elm St., Winooski, VT 05404.
