KATRINA M. BREHM - JERICHO - Katrina Marie Brehm, 49, of Jericho, crossed the finish line of her greatest marathon on April 20, 2012, surrounded by her close friends and family. She will always be remembered as a beautiful and caring wife and mother. She died feeling no pain or fear. Katrina was born April 12, 1963, and has always called Vermont her home. Katrina was the devoted wife of Richard Brehm and mother of Samantha Brehm. Katrina, Rick and Sam called Jericho their home. Katrina proudly served as a Green Mountain Boy in the Vermont Air National Guard and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant in 2007, after a long and distinguished career. Most recently, Katrina served with the Department of Homeland Security. Serving her state and nation meant the world to her. Katrina loved living in Jericho. She could often be seen running the back roads in preparation for her next race. She cherished spending time with family and friends, whether hosting pool parties, skiing or going for long walks with Zoey (the family dog). Katrina packed a lot of love and living into her 49 years. She lived life to its fullest. She was a mentor, friend, sister and wife. But, without a doubt, her most cherished title of all was "Momma." The bond between Katrina and Samantha will never be broken. Throughout her life, the friendships she made and bonds she created will live on forever. We are forever grateful to "The Crew from Jericho," for all the love and support they have given throughout our lives. Katrina is survived by her husband, Rick, and daughter, Samantha Brehm; sisters, Diane Daily and husband, Tim, of Omaha, Neb., and Terri Poulin of Brattleboro; brothers, Mark Poulin of Barre, Alexander Poulin of Madison, Ala., Anthony Poulin of South Burlington, Patrick Poulin and wife, Vern, of St. George, David Poulin of Essex, and Peter Poulin of Gorham, Maine; and many nieces and nephews.
