LUCIEN C. FARNSWORTH - BRISTOL - Lucien C. Farnsworth, 83, passed away Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, in Helen Porter Nursing Home, Arch Memory Care Unit, in Middlebury. He was born Oct. 1, 1930, in Shoreham, the son of Francis and Ella Wilkins Farnsworth. He attended Shoreham School. He served in U.S. Air Force during the Korean War from 1950 to 1954. He married Careen Hutchins on Sept. 18, 1955, and they just had their 58th anniversary. He had several jobs until working at Polymers Plastics for 35 years in Middlebury. Then he worked at Middlebury Parks and Recreation for five years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Middlebury, and American Legion Post #19 in Bristol. Lucien is survived by his wife of 58 years, Careen Farnsworth; three children, Deborah Jones and husband, Butch, Randy Farnsworth, Cindy Cloutier and Roger; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ken Farnsworth and wife, Ruth, and Francis Farnsworth and wife, Doris; a sister, Joyce Crempa and husband, John; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two daughters, Lynn and Lori Farnsworth. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Wednesday at BrownMcClay Funeral Home. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Bristol.
