MAITLAND DANIELS

MAITLAND DANIELS - BURLINGTON - Maitland Daniels, 91, of Burlington, passed away Sept. 8, 2013, in Burlington Health and Rehab Center. He was born April 6, 1922, the son of George and Elizabeth (Morin) Daniels. Mait was a salesman for the A.D. Pease Grain Co., for many years. He graduated from Burlington High School in June 1941, and enlisted in the service at the age of 18. He served overseas in the Chemical Warfare Unit in France. He was awarded the Good Conduct Ribbon and was discharged as a lieutenant. He leaves his wife of 65 years, Myrle Daniels; son, William and wife, Diane; daughter, Valerie Howard, all of Burlington; grandchildren, Nicole and Courtney, Kimberley and Brad; great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. He was predeceased by his sisters, Beatrice "Betty" Morrill, Lucille Mizner, and Dorothy Premont; and brother, Roger Daniels. Services will be held, with full military honors, in Lakeview Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in care of Corbin and Palmer Funeral Home, 71 S. Union St., Burlington.
