MARGARET ANNE BURBANK JERICHO - Margaret Anne (Bister) Burbank passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012. Peggy was surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 16, 1948, she was the daughter of the late William C. and A. Joyce Bister. Peggy graduated from Jericho High School in the Class of 1966 and Trinity College in the Class of 1970. Peggy married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Fred Burbank, on June 6, 1970. Together they had three beautiful daughters, Heather, Tara, and Kristin. She spent early years of her marriage raising her family and enjoying their many activities. Later, Peggy went to work at UVM as the Business Manager in the EPSCOR office. She retired in Feb. 2005. Peggy's biggest joy in recent years came from her grandchildren, Eva, Molly, Garret and Brady. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her quilting friends at Quilters Camp. With her sisters, she took stamping classes and liked creating cards and scapbook pages. She also liked playing tennis and bridge and was an avid sports fan. She especially enjoyed family vacations in Florida and the Caribbean with Fred, her daughters, and their families. Peggy is survived by her husband, Fred; daughters, Heather Burbank, Tara Carter and her husband, Keith, and their children Eva and Garret, and Kristin Trivento and her husband, Gary, and their children, Molly and Brady; her sisters, Sharon James and her husband, Bill, Norma Ojala and her husband, Jon, Marilyn Thomas and her husband, Grant, and Janet Knutsen and her husband, Roy; her sisters-in-law, Linda Brenner and her husband, Vic, Kay Fay, and Janet Grennan; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. We would like to express our gratitude to Dr. Gerald Davis, the staff at the VT Lung Center, Dr. Diane Rippa, and the critical care staff at Fletcher Allen Hospital for the excellent care they provided Peggy. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at 4 p.m. at the Jericho Congregational Church in Jericho Center.
