Marie was born Jan. 21, 1938, in West Newbury, Mass. She was the daughter of the late John and Althea (Burrill) Ray. Marie graduated from Haverhill High School, Haverhill, Mass., in 1955. Marie met Remi, a sailor in the Navy, and their first date was on May 10, 1960. They were married on Aug. 30, 1960, at the Saint James Church in Haverhill, Mass., with a honeymoon in Richford. Marie and Remi traveled around the world while Remi was in the Army. They lived in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Okinawa, and Germany. Upon Remi's retirement, they established their home in Richford, where they lived until relocating to their current home in Derby Line. Marie had numerous jobs throughout her life, and retired from government service as an Immigration Inspector in 2003. Marie's passion and joy was her family. She is survived by her husband, Remi; son, Joseph Larose and wife, Lisa, of St. Albans, and their children, Lisbeth, John, Noah and Kambree; daughter, Nicole Corbett and husband, Brett, of Derby, and their daughter, Meghan; sister, Beverly Leveille of Haverhill, Mass.; brother, John Ray and wife, Sharon, of Rochester, N.H.; sisters-in-law, Anita Mayhew of Richford, Irene Larose of St. Albans, Rita Larose of Richford, and Brenda Ray of Amesbury, Mass.; brother-in-law, Henry Larose and wife, Velma, of Leominster, Mass.; brother-in-law, Rosaire Larose and wife, Sharon, of Enosburg; and many, many nieces and nephews.
