MARION LOOMIS BURNOR - ALBURGH - Marion Loomis Burnor, a longtime area resident, passed away Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, in the St. Albans Healthcare and Rehab, with her family at her side. Born on July 27, 1925, in Burlington, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Kenneth V.A. and Gladys (Dennison) Forbes. Marion was 87 years old. Marion was a graduate of SUNY at Potsdam with a Degree in Music Education. She retired as a music teacher in 1987 from the Town of Essex. Marion was a member of the Vermont Retired Teachers Association, former member of Trinity Baptist Church in Williston and more recently attended the Harvest Baptist Church in Milton. She enjoyed bird watching and cooking. Survivors include her husband, Allard R. Burnor of Alburgh; her children, Lawrence T. Loomis and his wife, Jolyn, of Weaverville, N.C., Michael E. Loomis and his companion, Darlene Sullivan, of East Greenwich, R.I. and Garry T. Loomis of Jeffersonville; her grandchildren, Bethany DiPasquale and her husband, Joseph, Andrew Loomis and his fiancee, Honorata Wytrykowska, Lily Loomis, Phoebe Loomis and Essie Loomis; and her great-grandchildren, Grace and Charlotte DiPasquale. In addition to her parents, Marion was preceded in death by her brother, George Forbes; and sister, Barbara Sowles. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St., St. Albans. A funeral service will then be held at 2 p.m. in the Heald Chapel with Randy Boardman, Pastor of the Harvest Baptist Church officiating.
