SANDRA IRENE COOK

SANDRA IRENE COOK - GRAND ISLE - Sandra Irene Cook, passed away unexpectedly, at her home in Cozy Cottages, in Hislop's Landing, Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012. She was born in Burlington on Aug. 14, 1947, the daughter of the late Walter and Margaret (Jerry) Rushlow. Sandy was 65 years old. On June 5, 1965, Sandy married Howard N. Cook, who survives her. Sandy for many years was associated with Greer's Laundry Service on Lake Street in St. Albans, and more recently with the Sunshine Laundry in Milton. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Howard of Grand Isle; her brother, Rodney Rushlow and his wife, Wendy, of Georgia; her half-brother, Ralph Rice and his wife, Betty, of Milton; her three aunts, Marion Morgan, Mildred Terry and Estelle Parker; her uncle, David "Sonny" Jerry; several brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Richard Cook. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Heald Funeral Chapel, 87 South Main St., St. Albans, with Bruce Patterson, Pastor of Northside Baptist Church, officiating.
