SILAS MORRIS TIFFANY JR. - FAIRFIELD - Silas Morris Tiffany Jr., 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 26, 2012, at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans, surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Fairfield on Sept. 13, 1930, the son of Silas and Mary (Leach) Tiffany. Silas graduated from Enosburg Falls High School in 1950, and went to work on the family farm. In 1953, he married Cora Elizabeth Wanzer. Together they purchased a farm of their own, where he worked and lived for 59 years. Silas loved and was especially proud of his maple sugaring operation. He was a sixty-year member of the Lincoln Lodge #78, Free and Accepted Masons, a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church in Sheldon, the St. Albans Co-op Creamery Association, and the Franklin County Maple Sugar Producers. In addition to a lifetime of farming and maple sugar production, Silas loved to hunt, fish, read and spend time with family and friends. Silas was predeceased by his parents; sister, Martha (Tiffany) Clifford; three brothers-in-law, Vernon Rich, Lucius Hibbard, and John Clifford; and niece, Mary Diane Clifford. He is survived by his wife, Cora Tiffany; sisters, Ardelle (Tiffany) Rich, Helen (Tiffany) Hibbard, and Pauline (Tiffany) Cunningham and husband, Daniel, all of St. Albans; daughter, Susan Tiffany Kenoyer and husband, David Kenoyer, of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; sons, David, James, and Michael Tiffany and wife, Gabrielle Magnan Tiffany, of Fairfield; grandchildren, David Kenoyer and wife, Kim, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Brian Kenoyer and wife, Teresa, and her son, Everest, of Hagerstown, Md., and Emmett, John, Michelle, Hannah, and Margaret Tiffany of Fairfield; along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. At Silas's request there will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held at Heald Funeral Home, 87 S. Main St., St. Albans, at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 30, 2012, with the Rev.
