THE REV. GERALD RAYMOND "JERRY" WILLIAMS

THE REV. GERALD "JERRY" RAYMOND WILLIAMS - GRAND ISLE - The Rev. Gerald "Jerry" Raymond Williams went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 4, 2014, in Fletcher Allen Health Care. Born on Nov. 26, 1936, he was the son of Raymond and Alberta (Latour) Williams. Jerry served in the Army and Air Force for 15 1/2 years in Korea, Guam, Germany and Greenland. He was an accomplished woodcarver and painter. In the 1980s Jerry was ordained by Howard O. Jameson, Jameson Ministries in Pennsylvania. Jerry was affiliated with several churches in Burlington, and pastured a small group of Christians in South Hero. Jerry was a life member of Howard Plant Post 782 VFW Burlington. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Jayne (Clothey) Williams; sister, Geraldine Gonyo of Connecticut; children, Gina (Ron) Laforce of Burlington, Tom (Williams) Kelly of Omaha, Neb., Kelly (Williams) Nigro of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Vicky (Williams) Hill of St. George, Utah, and Carole Kelly of Omaha, Neb.; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Raymond Roy Sr.; son, Frank; first wife, Sylvia (Fascitelli) Williams; and second wife, Sharon Williams. A special thank you to James Forest, Ruth Clark, Grand Isle Rescue, and FAHC ER staff for their love, compassion and friendship. A memorial service is pending.
