Virgil A. Ham

VIRGIL A. HAM COLCHESTER - Virgil A. Ham, 86, of Colchester died peacefully at his home on Friday, Dec. 19, 2008. He was born in Burlington on April 23, 1922, the son of Rufus and Augusta (Tatro) Ham. Virgil was a veteran of World War II having served in the U. S. Army in the European Theatre. On Aug. 12, 2000, he was married to Dorothy Breault. Virgil was a meat cutter in the Burlington area for many years, most recently for Grand Union. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Ham of Colchester; his daughter Sharon Senor and husband Karl of Warren; a grandson Karsten Senor attending college in Colorado; also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife of 53 years, Elizabeth Ham; by his daughter Sandra Rivers; and by two sisters Margaret Prim and Mona Williams. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Fletcher Allen Health Care physicians and staff for their care and concern for Virgil. There will be no visiting hours. Graveside services with full military honors are planned for Lake View Cemetery in the Spring.
