Sadness gives depth. Happiness gives height. Sadness gives roots. Happiness gives branches. Happiness is like a tree going into the sky, and sadness is like the roots going down into the womb of the earth. Both are needed, and the higher a tree goes, the deeper it goes, simultaneously. The bigger the tree, the bigger will be its roots. In fact, it is always in proportion. That's its balance. ~Osho
This saying helped me, when my father died.. May your memories of him give you peace and comfort in the future. My family is deeply saddened by this. We are thinking about all of you and sending love!

To the Entire Keyser Family,
May your hearts, now so heavy with sadness, refill with all your favorite Ray memories. May you reap a rich harvest of the many seeds he has sown in each of you. May you be comforted by the knowledge that your friends are sending you love and support.
My favorite Ray memory was up at camp many years ago where he and our then twelve year old son, Peter, were sharing stories as though they were long lost old hunting buddies. What a great man.
Love and peace,
Diane & David Bahrenburg

For 20 years Ray was the guiding hand of the Hitchcock Clinic Board of Trustees, and always a friend and mentor to me during my years as President of the Clinic from 1983 to 1990. His credibility and the respect in which he was held were critical in obtaining agreement between Mary Hitchcock Hospital, Dartmouth College and the Clinic to build the new medical center in Lebanon. I remember many road trips to Rutland to Ray's office to share my latest problem with him, always leaving there having received sound advice and especially his encouragement. 10 days ago Ray called me and we talked for over an hour about many wonderful shared memories. While he said he was calling to tell me about his memoirs, I think now it was his way of saying goodbye. I will be forever grateful for all he did for me and for Dartmouth Hitchcock. To his family I can only offer sympathy and my wish that all the good memories will be forever strong.

To all the members of the Keyser Family,
May your hearts, now so heavy with sadness, refill with your favorite memories of Ray. May you reap a rich harvest of the many seeds he has planted in each one of you. May you be comforted in the knowledge that your friends are sending love and support your way.
My favorite Ray memory: at Camp watching him and our then 12 year old son Peter chatting away like a couple of old long-lost hunting buddies. Priceless. What a great guy.
Love and peace,
Diane & David
