BEATRICE BOURDEAU - SOUTH BURLINGTON - Beatrice "Bea" Bourdeau, 82, of South Burlington, passed away peacefully on Oct. 25, 2013, in the Respite House following a long illness. She was born in Burlington in December 1930, the daughter of Ruth and Tex Price. She was a graduate of Burlington High School, Class of 1949. On July 2, 1951, she married Walter, her loving husband of 62 years. Bea worked for Gladstone Shoes and sold Avon for 25 years. She was also active in Girl Scouts, Home Den of UVM Extension Service, and volunteered for various committees within her South Burlington community. She is survived by her husband, Walter; daughter, Janice and her children, Travis and Hannah; son, Jason and his children, Jay and Austin; brother, Dan, and sister-in-law, Liz Price; a niece, two nephews, several cousins and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Tex Price; mother-in-law, Charlotte; brother, Lon; and son-in-law, David. Many thanks to the VNA staff, Respite House staff, and Dr. Joseph Haddock for many hours of caring for Bea over the last several months. And, a very special thanks to her dear friend, Johanna McKenna, for her many hours of caring for Bea. A Mass to celebrate Bea's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Oct. 29, 2013, at St. John Vianney Church, South Burlington, with burial to follow at Resurrection Park.
