BERNADETTE RUTH "BEBE" LOPEZ - ESSEX JUNCTION - BeBe Lopez, ambassador of joy, is now dancing the rhumba in Heaven with Mom, Dad, and sister, Sylvia. BeBe passed away on Nov. 22, 2013, in the arms of sister and soulmate, Ronni, and with her loving care provider, Diane Tuttle, by her side. BeBe was born on Aug. 4, 1962 - Mom's 45th birthday. BeBe lived in Texas and Oregon, then came to Vermont in 1993 where opportunities to spread her light abounded via several part-time jobs and community service. BeBe also baked cookies for her local heroes in uniform. She is survived by her siblings, Laura, Natalia, Irma, Veronica, and Santiago III; nine nieces and nephews; and eight great-nieces and nephews. Though the Vermont family she's accumulated in the last 20 years is too long to list here, we are compelled to recognize the love and care she received from Diane Tuttle of Colchester and her ever-amazing family. In addition, BeBe has an expansive network of friends, care providers and fellow artists. She was predeceased by her parents, Oralia (Garcia) and Santiago Lopez Jr.; sister, Sylvia; and brother-in-law, Eugene. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at Holy Cross Church in Colchester, with a joyful reception to follow. In keeping with her love for live theatre, there will be a "Celebration of the Life in the Life of BeBe" at a later date, tba. I have so many fond memories of the hours and hours spent with BEBE during rehearsals in so many different theatres and random rehearsal spaces. But no matter where we were and no matter how long we were there BEBE was always smiling. I also remember her grooving to Grease back in the day and making everyone's day just that much better. Ronnie, I am so sorry to read about BeBe. I'll always remember her coming to the office with her grand smile and twinkle in her eyes. I never had a sister, but if I did I would want to have the loving relationship you and BeBe had. My heart goes out to you and your family. Sally

We all learned a lot from Bebe. We were reminded of the importance of good hugs, sincerity, laughter, emotions, and the joy that loving relationships bring to all of us. Do-Re-Mi will always remind us of our Thumbs Up family and all of the good times we had. Bebe's love will be with us always.

BeBe used to grace Union Station with her sister Ronnie when she had the Catalyst Theater at One Main. BeBe always shared an inner bright light and warm smile. She loved genuinely and was loved by many. May BeBe's bright light live on in the memories she leaves behind. My thoughts are with the family - BeBe will be missed.

It was good to see smiling BiBi and friend come into the Vermont Respite House kitchen where she would busy herself writing B's in a notebook or help bake cookies. Her light spirit always bright and fun.
