CEDRIC L. MARSHALL

CEDRIC L. MARSHALL - ESSEX - Cedric L. Marshall, 89, died suddenly on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, in Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. He was born on Nov. 16, 1922, the son of Lawrence E. and Alberta (Russell) Marshall. Cedric joined the Army Air Core in 1941. He had a 26-year career in the US military, retiring in 1967. He then worked for the US Postal Service in Essex Junction and Underhill Center, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Masonic Washington Lodge #3, Mt. Mansfield Masonic Lodge, and was an Eastern Star Temple Rite Chapter, Scottish York Rite and the Cairo Temple of the Shriners. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lorraine (Marsha) Marshall; son, James Marshall and wife, Jane, of Winooski; daughter, June and husband, Michael Abramowitz; five grandchildren, Terri Boucher, Cindy Saurault, Jim Marshall, Marshall Abramowitz, and Athena Abramowitz; one great-granddaughter, Brooke Saurault; two brothers, John Marshall and Gerald Marshall; and one sister, Eunice Rochon. He was predeceased by his brother, Russell Marshall. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Essex Center United Methodist Church, Route 15, Essex Center.
