Obituary Condolences

CHARLES HENRY RESSEGUIE - MILTON - Charles Henry Resseguie, 92, died peacefully surrounded by his family, on Thursday, April 18, 2013, in Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. Charles was born on July 7, 1920, in Bennington, the son of Raymond and Mary (Durand) Resseguie Sr. Charlie graduated from high school in Millbury, Mass., and proudly served in the U.S. Army during W.W.II in the European Theatre. On June 24, 1946, he married his grade school sweetheart and next door neighbor, Margaret Gauvin. He worked for many years as a supervisor for several knitting companies in Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Jersey and Vermont. In his earlier years, Charles earned his pilot's license and later enjoyed building and flying model airplanes. Charlie's greatest love in life was his family; everything was centered around them. He loved the outdoors and taught his children and grandchildren how to fly fish, hunt, ski, golf, camp and garden. When his mobility was limited, Chuck enjoyed time spent with his family playing Yahtzee and eating creemees. Charlie is survived by his loving wife of over 66 years, Margaret Resseguie; daughters, Lynne Mayo of Westford, Sharon Resseguie of St. Albans, and Joan and Woody Pecor of Milton; grandchildren, Jessica Masse and husband, Roger, of Rhode Island, and Dr. Cedric C. Pecor of Georgia; brothers, Donald of New York, and Roger and his wife, Marilyn, of Jeffersonville; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Larry Mayo in 2008; and brothers, Raymond Jr., and Durand Resseguie. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff on McClure 5 Cardiac Unit at Fletcher Allen for the care provided to Charles. Also, a special thank you to Drs. King, Fitzgerald, and Grunert for the care they provided. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, April 22, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m., with prayers offered at 4 p.m. by Fr. Feltz, in the Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at 11 a.m. in St. Ann's Catholic Church in Milton.
