CHARLES ROGER BOISVERT - ESSEX JUNCTION - Charles Roger Boisvert, 74, died peacefully in his own home with his loved ones near. He was born in Burlington on June 22, 1939, son of Jean Marie and Armande (Beaudin) Boisvert. His parents and his brother, Maurice N. Boisvert, predeceased him. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gladys Mae (Kenna); and his three children, Celine Griggs, her husband, Sean, their two sons, Brandon and Spencer, his son, Charles David, his wife, Angela, and their daughter, Brittany, and his son, John Alan, his wife, Tina, their three children, Emily, Derek, and Beverly. Charles also leaves his four siblings, Robert, his wife, Patsy, their two children, Sean and friend, Chad, their daughter, Marie and her husband, Thomas and their two daughters, Zoe and Lily; sister, Jane Boisvert and her husband, Dana Twitchell; his brother, Paul and his wife, Ellen McShane; and sister, Colette Boisvert. Charles was raised on Shelburne Farms, served in the Navy in 1957 and 1958, drove a truck for Pike and Son for four years, then worked 35 years for IBM and after retirement there, drove for Ryder for 17 years. Charles always loved Lake Champlain and boating on it, loved the wilderness, snowmobiling, animals, NASCAR races, fishing, country music, taking trips and driving. He loved vacationing in Florida, Aruba, going on cruises, the Bahamas, Arizona and Canada. He loved to barn dance and go on picnics and berry picking. He was an usher at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Charles dearly loved his family, had many good friends and will be greatly missed. Visiting hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, in the Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Home, 85 N. Winooski Ave., Burlington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in New Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boucher and Pritchard Funeral Directors. Contributions in Charles' memory may be made to Hospice of the Champlain Valley, 1110 Prim Rd., Colchester, VT 05446.
