DORIS BIDDLE Obituary

DORIS MARGARET (FELLOWS) BIDDLE COLCHESTER - Doris Margaret (Fellows) Biddle, born Dec. 29, 1919, in West Danville, died Monday, April 13, 2009 in Birchwood Terrace Healthcare in Burlington, of pneumonia. She was the 13th of 14 children, of which she was the last surviving child, of Asa and Alice (McCosco) Fellows of West Danvill. She was predeceased by her husband, George Mosher Biddle of Bennington, in 1974. Doris was a hard worker from the beginning with chores on her family farm. At a young age she ironed sheets at the Mt. Washington Hotel in New Hampshire and later worked in various mills. She prided herself on her ability to quickly master the running of difficult knitting machines and becoming proficient in their operations. To Doris, her family was everything. She took great pride and joy in her granddaughter, Laura Maclay and her children Chazman and Tristen, and her grand-son Nathan Dean and his wife Allison, and their children Ethan and Anna. In addition she leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Gary Dean, and a very special, dedicated and loving niece Earlene Fellows. A private burial celebrated by a small family gathering will be held at the Danville Green Cemetery at a later date.

To Doris' family - sorry to hear of your mother, grandmother's passing last Monday. She was a sweet and spunky woman. I am sure she will be missed by all who knew her.
