EDWARD H. MILLETTE JR. - SOUTH BURLINGTON - Edward H. Millette Jr., 83, of South Burlington, died on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, in Fletcher Allen Health Care. He was born in Winooski on June 19, 1930, the son of Edward H. and Maude (Hammond) Millette. He was a graduate of Cathedral High School, and served his country during the Korean War in the Marine Corps. On April 11, 1970, he was married in South Burlington to Geron A. Boyer. Ed worked for 40 years for Burlington Grocery, first as a truck driver, and for most of his career he worked in sales. He was a member of St. John Vianney Parish. Ed was an avid hunter and Red Sox fan. In earlier years, he dabbled in Citizen Band Radio. He was a NASCAR fan, and enjoyed his time with all of his camping friends in St. Albans. But, his greatest joy was time spent with family during the holidays. He is survived by his wife, Geron "Geri" Millette of South Burlington; one son, Stephen G. Millette of South Burlington; one grandson, Drew C. Millette of Chapel Hill, N.C.; brother-in-law, Lavern "Chieffie" Boyer of South Burlington; three sisters-in-law, Sandra Boyer of South Burlington, Margaret LeClair of Hampstead, N.C., and Madonna Williams of Manassas, Va.; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Renee Bachand Millette; one son, Ken Millette; one granddaughter, Taylor Millette; and two sisters, Ruth Sweeney and Helen Levee. There will be no visiting hours and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at 11 a.m. in St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Resurrection Park Cemetery.
