FRANCIS E. CALEVRO - RICHMOND - Francis E. Calevro died on Feb. 13, 2013, after battling with several ailments. His family was with him during this difficult time. Francis spent his childhood in Barre. He later graduated from UVM with an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering, following with his MS in ME from Boston College. He was a talented and creative mechanical engineer who worked for IBM for the majority of his career. Prior to going into the private sector, he served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, with an unmatched love of the outdoors and wildlife. He is survived by his children, Debra Calevro of Boston, Mass.; Becky Calevro and husband, Art Vezina, of Monkton, and their children, Sam, Dani and Jamie; Joe Calevro of Richmond; and Todd Calevro of Essex Junction. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Kristen Calevro and fiancé, Erik Hammond, of Richmond, and Dustin Calevro of Grand Ridge, Fla. Frank was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Shirley Calevro; as well as one brother and three sisters. He will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Gifford Funeral Service, 22 Depot St., Richmond.
