KRYN A. MINER - ESSEX JUNCTION - Kryn A. Miner, 44, of Essex Junction, died on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at his home from an unexpected tragedy. He was born on July 28, 1969, in Ticonderoga, N.Y., the son of Rolland Miner and Lynne Levins. He was a graduate of Springfield High School, Class of 1987. On May 27, 1995, he was married in St. Mary's Church in Hudson, N.Y., to Amy M. Clements. Kryn served in the 82nd Airborne Division. He has had many accomplishments during his long military career, some of which include Ranger School and becoming sniper qualified. Kryn was an expert in his field. Kryn has spent many years overseas either fighting for our military or working with our government as a military contractor. He most recently served with the 86th IBCT in Jericho, as a chief warrant officer 2 in an Intel capacity. Kryn was a coach and member of the Crossfit Burlington community, as were his family. He took great interest in supporting members to challenge themselves and develop as both athletes and as people. Kryn completed multiple endurance races, triathlons and obstacle races. These things brought him a lot of happiness. Kryn was "that person," the one who could walk into a place full of people he didn't know and an hour later he was friends with every single one of them; he just had that special "thing." He has friends around the world that he has inspired, whether it be with his amazing stories, his infectious yet mischievous smile, or his awesome charisma Kryn was an amazing husband and father. He loved them with all of his being. Kryn's most recent mission was to bring awareness to those that suffer from the invisible wounds brought on by war. He wanted to let other veterans know they were not alone. Kryn began the Forgotten Fallen and also was working with the Lone Survivor Foundation. He is survived by his wife, Amy Miner; children, Lalaina Miner (18), Macintyre Miner (15), Trinity Miner (11), and Piper Miner (7); father, Rolland Miner; brother, Rolland Miner and his wife, Gwen Miner, and their two children; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Kryn also leaves behind many, many friends. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Ready Funeral & Cremation Service Mountain View Chapel, 68 Pinecrest Dr., Essex Junction.
