LUCETTE J. BISSONNETTE - WINOOSKI - Lucette J. "Lou" Bissonnette, 87, of Winooski died on Thursday, July 24, 2014, in Birchwood Terrace Healthcare, in Burlington, with her loving family at her side. Lou was born in Colchester on Sept. 4, 1926, the daughter of Azaire and Blanche (Bechard) Varin. She was married to Rolland F. "Sunny" Bissonnette Sr., who predeceased her on Oct. 15, 2013. Lou was a life member of the R.V.A. Auxiliary and enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, crafts and travel, but mostly spending time with her family. Lou is survived by her stepson, Rolland "Ron" Bissonnette Jr. and his wife, Evelyn, of Milton; her stepdaughter, Nancy Metivier and her husband, Maurice "Moe" of Burlington; four grandchildren, Lori Meigs and husband, Justin, Jason Metivier and Lori Smith, Shelley Bissonnette, and Craig Bissonnette and wife, Lauren; great-grandchildren; her sister, Theresa Eckert and husband, Lee; brothers-in-law, Arnold Cota and Robert Bissonnette; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her sisters, Gabrielle Belanger, Cecile Blakley and husband, Charles, and Rita Cota. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, July 27, 2014, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 132 Main St. in Winooski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 28, 2014, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Winooski. Interment will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
